We Love You!

30Jan

Nadia + Craig had one of the most fun weddings… ever.  Carnival games, a pig roast (thanks to Avalon Catering), a Morelli’s gourmet ice cream cart, huge and awesome balloons?  So awesome.  They knew exactly what the feel of their wedding should be to truly represent them as a couple.  And we were so excited to be a part of it, getting to use every color of the rainbow in flowers and vessels (and balloons!).  Erin Stroup did an incredible job bringing all of the fun pieces together, making the day as seamless as it was colorful and fun.  And we were sure glad to have Kyle Hale to capture every bit of it.  And what awesome wedding could be without the Smilebooth?  Congratulations Nadia + Craig!  We couldn’t be happier for you.  Thanks for letting us have so much fun!Other vendors involved :: vintage furniture rentals by Four Inch Fold, lighting by the one and only Roy at Unique Event Management, and The Cake Hag.

This was by far a highlight for us last year.  To get to work with the one and only Jose Villa was an absolute pleasure we had long been awaiting.  Not only is he incredibly talented but also so incredibly humble and kind.  We had a lovely weekend at the beautiful Serenbe, packed to the brim with gorgeous details and lovely ladies.  Joy + Emily did a fabulous job bringing this shoot to life, right down to the very smallest details.

Thank you Jose for the breathtaking images, to Joy + Emily for inviting us to be a part of this workshop, to Ginny Branch for her positive attitude and helping hands.  This was also where we first met Meagan, who later designed our website!

Enjoy!

First up :: summer countryside :: Love this!  Joy envisioned this arch that Ginny and Erica spent days creating.  Despite the heat and crazy bugs (gross!), this beautiful piece became a permanent Serenbe fixture. white and deep indigo wedding (at Dunaway Gardens – beautiful!) :: (This may look familiar from the current cover of Southern Weddings Magazine!) Check out even more images from this weekend on Once Wed here, here, and here!  Click here to read more about the Once Wed Workshop for Wedding Photographers.  And of course pick up V4 of Southern Weddings Magazine!

So excited to share this wedding with you.  *Seriously* a gorgeous wedding, chock full of cute details.  Thanks to all of the beautiful images from Gina Zeidler, it was nearly impossible to pare them down to include only what you see below!  And if you haven’t already, go pick up your copy of the current Southern Weddings Magazine to see lots, lots more.

When Camille asked us to be a part of her wedding I was so touched.  I mean, she is an incredible photographer (see more of her gorgeous work here).  She is so sweet and was also kind enough to photograph my son’s birthday party last year.  From the moment she started to describe her vision and inspiration, we just knew.  We always love the opportunity to use all of these fun colors of flowers!  And not only did we do the flowers, but Erica designed and handmade the most amazing invitations you have ever seen… and not to mention the yard games signs, placecards, cutout cake sign… Yes, she is extremely talented!

Every little detail.  Just gorgeous!  Surrounded by only a handful of their closest family, Camille + Mark had a beautiful, intimate wedding at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, North Carolina (they even had the farm table made to just the right size to perfectly fit their family).

Hope you enjoy!

Congratulations Camille + Mark!  We wish you lots of happy moments to come…

A big shout out to the lovely Ginny Branch for all of her help with this wedding.  We’re some lucky gals to not only share a studio space with her but also to call her a friend.

And again, be sure to check out the latest Southern Weddings Magazine!  (Or visit our press page here.)  Camille + Mark have also been featured on the Southern Weddings blog :: Part I, Part II, and how to Get the Look!

Welcome!

17Jan

Happy New Year y’all!  We are overwhelmingly excited to welcome you to our new website and blog!  This past year was filled to the brim with pinch-me moments and an overall sense of newness and adventure.

We embarked on a new chapter by moving into a new studio space at the Goat Farm, our little rustic-industrial slice of heaven hidden in West Midtown. Yes, there are goats (and chickens, and roosters, and a big fat turkey).  And yes there is a farm!  And we’re pretty lucky gals to share the space with stylist-extraordinaire Ginny Branch.  And obviously we got a new [digital] space as well – welcome!

We hosted our inaugural flower workshop (see more of the photos here!) and spent the day with an incredible group of women, a collection of new faces and familiar favorites.  (Stay tuned – we are in the planning phases and will be announcing our next workshop soon!)

We worked on some, quite frankly, gorgeous weddings, and made so many new friends along the way.  We are so lucky to work with brides with some impeccable visions.  Take a look through our galleries to see some of our favorites, and we promise there are lots of blog posts to come!

We celebrated checking off a big item on our bucket list… and were humbled by the opportunity.

We collaborated with terrifically talented folks in our industry.  Visit our new links page to take a look at some of the people we truly love.

We laughed at our hiccups along the way.  We took risks and lived to tell the tales (which we will definitely share over coffee and something sweet).

We owe a huge, huge thank you to the lovely Meagan Gibson, who worked tirelessly with us to create our new home here on the interweb. Thank you for giving us what we have been waiting for for ohhh so long.  And even our logo got a little facelift!

2011 was a very good year and we are already high-fiving each other with what is in store for 2012… Check back in with us, we will be sharing some of our favorite weddings from 2011 (seriously, there are a lot)!  Until then, we hope you like the new site!  And we hope to cross paths with you in 2012.

Michelle and Shahar.  What a beautiful wedding to kick off our new blog!  Michelle came to us with such adoration and beautiful ideas.  We were so thrilled to do her wedding at the always-inspiring Serenbe on a beautiful summer night.  And we always love doing a wedding where we love all of the other vendors :: as always, Heidi blew us away with the yummy photos.  She never ceases to amaze us.  Sun in My Belly, Smilebooth (you can see those images here), DJ Mike Zarin, and Wages Films (see their wedding video here!), all collaborated to make their day truly memorable.  This just turned out to be such a pretty wedding and we are thrilled to show you.  Oh!  And would you just look at how gorgeous Michelle’s BHLDN dress is!?  Lovely, lovely, lovely…

Congratulations Michelle + Shahar!  We wish you a lifetime of happiness…
