Jackie + Grant had the most beautiful Southern wedding this past January at Summerour :: one of the most beautiful venues right in the heart of Atlanta (although it feels a world away).  Soft and vintage with lots of adorable little details, their day was a perfect reflection of the sweet couple they are.  And isn’t Jackie just so pretty?  We have been lucky to have her helping us out here lately, too!  Thank you to Paper Antler for capturing these sweet moments so beautifully.  Enjoy! jackie + grant - paper antler 0016jackie + grant - paper antler 0009jackie + grant - paper antler 0011jackie + grant - paper antler 0004jackie + grant - paper antler 0029jackie + grant - paper antler 0038jackie + grant - paper antler 0041jackie + grant - paper antler 0018jackie + grant - paper antler 0077jackie + grant - paper antler 0076jackie + grant - paper antler 0083jackie + grant - paper antler 0075jackie + grant - paper antler 0051jackie + grant - paper antler 0116jackie + grant - paper antler 0117jackie + grant - paper antler 0045To see more of their images, visit the full blog post over at Paper Antler.  And for even more yet (!), check out the feature on Ruffledamyosaba-ruffledPhotographer: Paper Antler // Wedding Venue: Summerour // Wedding Flowers and Floral Crown: Amy Osaba // Wedding Planner: Amelia Gazaway // Wedding Dress: Elizabeth Fillmore // Hair: Sarah Bolte // Makeup: Beth Pilgreen // Groom’s Attire: Kenneth Cole // Wedding Caterer: Bold American // DJ: Mike Zarin of Zegi

“We covered the table with an old schoolhouse chalkboard, complete with cracks and scribbles to mimic the night’s sky dotted with sparkly mercury glass votives. The beauty of having a dark backdrop allows for all the colors, particularly the flowers, to really glow. Amy Osaba collected some wintery branches with dried leaves to add a coppery touch to her arrangements. Never underestimate the beauty of what you can forage during the winter. Dried leaves, seeds, and pods add textural variety and movement to any arrangement.”

It’s the best feeling to be a part of something truly beautiful.  Just like this shoot.  A dream team of ladies who come together and this magic happens.  And so thrilled that Snippet & Ink thought so, too!  Visit their beautiful blog to see the rest of this shoot…Ali Harper and Ginny BranchAli Harper and Ginny Branchamyosaba-blog-aliharper-midnight-shoot-02amyosaba-snippet&inkPhotographer: Ali Harper / Styling: Ginny Branch / Floral Design: Amy Osaba / Recipe Concepts and Food Styling: Alison Leuker / Hair & Makeup: Claudia Mejerle / Dress: Ivy & Aster / Invitation: Bella Figura

It’s always such a pleasure working on shoots for Atlanta Weddings Magazine.  Especially when it’s with some of our very favorite folks.  This one is a love story taking place in one of the most romantic cities in Georgia. The idea is almost a peek into a couple’s destination wedding weekend in Savannah. We follow them antiquing at Alex Raskins, rickshaw riding in front of The Pink House, enjoying a cafe au lait at Paris Market, and dancing on River Street with a jazz band. Savannah is such a sleepy and sentimental town, rich with history, and the perfect backdrop for a getaway with your beloved.  Photos by Jeremy Harwell, styling by Ginny Branch Styling and Designs, hair + makeup by Claudia Mejerle, floral design by Maria Taylor for Amy Osaba Event.Floral.Design, paper goods by Erica Loesing.  And a big thank you to Atlanta Weddings for always inviting us along for the ride.amyosaba-blog-awm-savannah-08amyosaba-blog-awm-savannah-07amyosaba-blog-awm-savannah-01amyosaba-blog-awm-savannah-09 amyosaba-blog-awm-savannah-10amyosaba-blog-awm-savannah-06 amyosaba-blog-awm-savannah-11amyosaba-blog-awm-savannah-05 amyosaba-blog-awm-savannah-04amyosaba-blog-awm-savannah-03 amyosaba-blog-awm-savannah-12 amyosaba-blog-awm-savannah-14amyosaba-blog-awm-savannah-13 amyosaba-blog-awm-savannah-02And this pretty behind the scenes video by Whitney Tomasino ::

So happy to share this Great Expectations themed shoot we created for The Atlantan Brides Magazine.  Moody, lush, and unruly to echo the look and feel of Lullwater Acres, a place you almost feel is lost in time.  There is no other venue in the city that could have better illustrated the epic romance of this story.  The fern was an underlying element, used both literally and graphically, from the floral arrangements to the “lacey” paper table runner.  All of this set against the gorgeous furniture pieces from Settee, and seen through the lens of Heidi, styled by Ginny …total magic.  See for yourself…amyosaba-blog-GreatExpectations-01amyosaba-blog-GreatExpectations-07amyosaba-blog-GreatExpectations-09amyosaba-blog-GreatExpectations-04amyosaba-blog-GreatExpectations-03amyosaba-blog-GreatExpectations-05amyosaba-blog-GreatExpectations-06amyosaba-blog-GreatExpectations-12amyosaba-blog-GreatExpectations-08amyosaba-blog-GreatExpectations-10amyosaba-blog-GreatExpectations-11Be sure to pick up the current issue of The Atlantan Brides on stands now!amyosaba-blog-press-AtlantanBrides-GreatExpectationsAnd you just have to check out this incredible Super 8 film by Chris Dekmar ::

This wedding is quite a treat for us to share with you.  Leslie is my cousin, so aside from the obviously gorgeous images from Heidi Geldhauser, this wedding was extra special to work on.  I finally got to share the gorgeous, vast cornfields of Illinois I talk so fondly about with Amy, Meredith, Heidi, and Christian.  It really was so special, and I’m thankful to have all of these awesome people I get to work with and call friends.

Leslie + Lloyd got married on Leslie’s family farm in rural Illinois in true Americana style on Fourth of July weekend.  A combination of flowers shipped in (like the pretty peonies and ranunculus) mixed with local wildflowers picked on and around the farm created an effortless, yet elegant feel.  Amy’s chuppah was gorgeous, located where two of the cornfields meet behind the house.  Guests enjoyed the Jewish/Christian ceremony seated on haybales circling around the couple.  Oh, and I should mention that my cousin Reed drove Leslie to the aisle in an antique Model T that he and my late uncle restored together.  We arrived to the farm to a treasure trove of antique vessels my aunt has collected over the years, which we used for most of the reception flowers.  All of the tables were covered in an assortment of her pretty vintage linens and china pieces.  Tons of handmade details (a handpainted flag, papercut table numbers and matching escort cards, wood road signs…), and a big thanks to our intern Meredith for all of her help getting it all done.  We battled tons of bugs and crazy heat, but in the end you would be none the wiser when seeing these gorgeous images Heidi took.  The story begins with a “fun on the farm day,” complete with pig races (so cute!), a petting zoo, skeet shooting… you name it.  And ends with a big grand fireworks finale.  Hope you enjoy!

Congratulations Leslie + Lloyd!  Wishing you lots of love and happiness.

To piggyback on Tuesday’s gorgeous wedding, we thought you may enjoy Jeni + Justin’s colorful Rehearsal Fiesta!  Yes, a fiesta!  Packed with lots of bright, Mexican-inspired colors, fun and colorful vessels and random little knick knacks, Mexican paper banners (to match their adorable invitations), and all of the necessary fixin’s for a good time, Jeni + Justin started their big weekend off with a bang.  If you didn’t catch their beautiful wedding you can see the whole post here.

Venue: Hawkesdene House, Andrews, NC // Planning: Jeannine Kennedy of FAVOR Events // Photos: Alan Friedman Photography

We are overjoyed to finally be sharing Jeni + Justin’s special wedding at Hawkesdene House with you.  You may have seen it featured on Martha Stewart Weddings and The Bride’s Guide over the last few months.  [No one can seem to get over how cute the paint by number was!]  Martha even featured Handsome the pug once again on her blog.  It was just such a beautiful wedding with so many thoughtful details, held last fall in perfect autumn weather.  The ceremony not only celebrated the love of Jeni and Justin but also incorporated Jeni’s daughter Emma, escorted down the aisle by Handsome the pug.   Thanks to Jeannine Kennedy of Honeysuckle Wedding Company for coordinating all of the details, and beautiful photos by Alan Friedman.  Stay tuned on Thursday for their Rehearsal Dinner fiesta!

Congratulations Jeni + Justin!  We wish you lots of happiness and love.

Lauren + Josh were married at the gorgeous Farm at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, North Carolina.  Such a treat for us to spend a weekend in such a beautiful place!  There are so many pretty spots on the property, it is the perfect wedding getaway.  Lauren had a beautiful vision of flowers in pretty neutrals :: whites, pale yellows, and greens, with a woodsy, romantic look and feel.  And the rain let up at all the perfect moments to allow the perfect weather day.  Thank you to Tina Rowden Photographers for these beautiful images and Elizabeth Fletcher of I Do Events for doing such a fantastic job bringing everything together.  Wishing you lots and lots of happiness Lauren + Josh!

Anne + Thomas had a lovely, lovely wedding in Anne’s quaint hometown of Tifton, Georgia.  The ceremony took place at the First United Methodist Church of Tifton, the reception in her parents pretty backyard, backing right up to a lake.  Anne’s dad is a big collector of antique cars, so not only did they have their pick of getaway cars but we got the coolest workspace ever!  And would you take a look at that cake by Sharon of Sweet Sensations – sugar flowers galore!  So beautiful, and to match all of Anne’s favorite flowers we used in the decor.  The lovely day was all tied together by Caroline Carter Events and photographed by David Christensen Photography.  Hair and makeup by our good friend, the one and only Raney O’Keefe.  Guests danced the night away to the sounds of Super T! (the same band who serenaded the wedding of Jenna Bush!).  Catering by Epting Events, rentals by Beachview Tent Rentals and Ooh! Events.  Thank you Anne + Patti for letting us be a part of this special wedding!  It was truly a pleasure getting to know you both!!

 Congratulations Anne + Thomas!!!

We are so excited to finally share Casey + Paul’s gorgeous wedding at the Stables at Lake Martin.  We couldn’t have been more thrilled with every little detail of this wedding, all captured by the amazing Simply Bloom.  We’re always so excited to work with them, obviously!  These images are just stunning.

The Stables at Russell Crossroads are the most beautiful horse stables you’ve ever laid eyes on.  So gorgeous.  Exposed wood all around, world class horses, and a major attention to detail down to every last window latch.  On this night in particular it looked simply magical :: a mix of rustic and elegant, a touch of glitter, and sparkling candlelight all around.  We created a fabric chandelier to hang in the center of the space that glowed as everyone danced and enjoyed the evening.  Casey’s dad made all of the farm tables by hand using wood from her grandfather’s barn.

A special thanks to Ms. Linda, who was so kind, helpful, and forgiving.  She let us work through the night hanging all 750 feet (!!) of muslin fringe down the length of the stables (and getting lots of threads all over the floor).  And kept us laughing as we then took it all back down again.  Also a huge thanks to all of our helping hands who made all of that fringe possible!  Don’t know what we would have done without all of you!  Lastly, a special thanks to the Stelling family for letting us make a weekend out of it staying at their lake house.  AND Ginny for coming along to help us out.  Wow, we’re pretty lucky.

Now for the gorgeous images!  Beginning with a sweet painting (one in a series) Paul created to propose to his love ::Congratulations Casey + Paul!  Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your beautiful day!

We’re so excited to have this wedding featured on 100 Layer Cake!  Head on over to check out more of their wedding.

We had the pleasure of working with Erin and her mom Lisa for months brainstorming the perfect combination of all things pretty and vintage for her wedding.  Barnsley Gardens looked as it never had before :: so many cute vintage pieces from Lisa’s shop, bright and colorful flowers all around, oodles of heirloom pumpkins, and a stunning bride.  We love every opportunity to work with all different colors and textures of flowers.  A-Town A-List kept all of the guests on the dance floor until the very end of the night.  Thank you to Leslie Walker for the gorgeous images (see more photos here and here on her blog!).  Thank you Erin + Lisa for being such a pleasure.  Congratulations Erin + Danny! And check out the full feature on Style Me Pretty!

Brittany + William had a lovely wedding at the beautiful Foxhall Resort.  The perfect kind of day – clear skies and the perfect temperature to be outside around the fire.  We constructed an arch to frame the stunning view of acres upon acres of manicured lawns.  Really, the resort is just so beautiful.  We designed her bouquet to lie on top of a family Bible that had been used by generations of brides in Brittany’s family.  Both Brittany and her mother were so sweet to work with, and we couldn’t be happier to have been a part of their big day.  We have actually had the pleasure of working with the talented Brittany before.  She is a photographer with 6 of Four, who also captured all of these lovely images below.  And with Sun in My Belly catering, we’re left with such fond memories of their special day.  Congratulations Brittany + Will!

Ohhhh Kelly + Drew.  One of the sweetest couples we have had the pleasure of working with, whose love for one another rubs off on everyone around them.  (You may remember seeing their adorable engagement shoot here!)  From the moment we met it was a match made in heaven.  Kelly was one of those dream clients who trusted us completely.  For that we are always grateful.  Bold chevrons, sherbet gradients (the table linens, the bridesmaids dresses, table numbers!), huge balloons … we had such a ball!  Scott Chester was there to capture all of the gorgeous details, all of which were coordinated by Ashley Baber.  The one and only Sun in My Belly catered.  Cator Woolford Gardens was just glowing.  Congratulations Kelly + Drew!  We wish you all the best…

Caroline + Tyler had a gorgeous wedding at Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega.  There were so many sweet, southern details :: peaches, milkglass, natural wood, gorgeous flowers, lots of handmade pieces, and a super sweet couple to boot.  Lovely photos by Heidi Geldhauser [as always].  Enjoy!

This was by far a highlight for us last year.  To get to work with the one and only Jose Villa was an absolute pleasure we had long been awaiting.  Not only is he incredibly talented but also so incredibly humble and kind.  We had a lovely weekend at the beautiful Serenbe, packed to the brim with gorgeous details and lovely ladies.  Joy + Emily did a fabulous job bringing this shoot to life, right down to the very smallest details.

Thank you Jose for the breathtaking images, to Joy + Emily for inviting us to be a part of this workshop, to Ginny Branch for her positive attitude and helping hands.  This was also where we first met Meagan, who later designed our website!

Enjoy!

First up :: summer countryside :: Love this!  Joy envisioned this arch that Ginny and Erica spent days creating.  Despite the heat and crazy bugs (gross!), this beautiful piece became a permanent Serenbe fixture. white and deep indigo wedding (at Dunaway Gardens – beautiful!) :: (This may look familiar from the current cover of Southern Weddings Magazine!) Check out even more images from this weekend on Once Wed here, here, and here!  Click here to read more about the Once Wed Workshop for Wedding Photographers.  And of course pick up V4 of Southern Weddings Magazine!

So excited to share this wedding with you.  *Seriously* a gorgeous wedding, chock full of cute details.  Thanks to all of the beautiful images from Gina Zeidler, it was nearly impossible to pare them down to include only what you see below!  And if you haven’t already, go pick up your copy of the current Southern Weddings Magazine to see lots, lots more.

When Camille asked us to be a part of her wedding I was so touched.  I mean, she is an incredible photographer (see more of her gorgeous work here).  She is so sweet and was also kind enough to photograph my son’s birthday party last year.  From the moment she started to describe her vision and inspiration, we just knew.  We always love the opportunity to use all of these fun colors of flowers!  And not only did we do the flowers, but Erica designed and handmade the most amazing invitations you have ever seen… and not to mention the yard games signs, placecards, cutout cake sign… Yes, she is extremely talented!

Every little detail.  Just gorgeous!  Surrounded by only a handful of their closest family, Camille + Mark had a beautiful, intimate wedding at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, North Carolina (they even had the farm table made to just the right size to perfectly fit their family).

Hope you enjoy!

Congratulations Camille + Mark!  We wish you lots of happy moments to come…

A big shout out to the lovely Ginny Branch for all of her help with this wedding.  We’re some lucky gals to not only share a studio space with her but also to call her a friend.

Michelle and Shahar.  What a beautiful wedding to kick off our new blog!  Michelle came to us with such adoration and beautiful ideas.  We were so thrilled to do her wedding at the always-inspiring Serenbe on a beautiful summer night.  And we always love doing a wedding where we love all of the other vendors :: as always, Heidi blew us away with the yummy photos.  She never ceases to amaze us.  Sun in My Belly, Smilebooth (you can see those images here), DJ Mike Zarin, and Wages Films (see their wedding video here!), all collaborated to make their day truly memorable.  This just turned out to be such a pretty wedding and we are thrilled to show you.  Oh!  And would you just look at how gorgeous Michelle’s BHLDN dress is!?  Lovely, lovely, lovely…

Congratulations Michelle + Shahar!  We wish you a lifetime of happiness…
