Jackie + Grant had the most beautiful Southern wedding this past January at Summerour :: one of the most beautiful venues right in the heart of Atlanta (although it feels a world away). Soft and vintage with lots of adorable little details, their day was a perfect reflection of the sweet couple they are. And isn’t Jackie just so pretty? We have been lucky to have her helping us out here lately, too! Thank you to Paper Antler for capturing these sweet moments so beautifully. Enjoy!

Jessica + Jason at JCT
05Apr
Jessica + Jason’s wedding at JCT Kitchen was so special and intimate. A focus on good food and good times, and a reflection of the city they met and fell in love in. JCT Kitchen oozes with southern charm, also echoed through every detail of their wedding, all beautifully captured by Kate Belle. Their flowers were designed and created by our very own Maria. Her soft + natural palette was made of all kinds of pretty blooms, including dusty miller, peonies, succulents, and ranunculus. Take a look, and we hope you enjoy!

This wedding is featured today on Style Me Pretty! Be sure to check out their post for even more images from this charming wedding.

“We covered the table with an old schoolhouse chalkboard, complete with cracks and scribbles to mimic the night’s sky dotted with sparkly mercury glass votives. The beauty of having a dark backdrop allows for all the colors, particularly the flowers, to really glow. Amy Osaba collected some wintery branches with dried leaves to add a coppery touch to her arrangements. Never underestimate the beauty of what you can forage during the winter. Dried leaves, seeds, and pods add textural variety and movement to any arrangement.”
It’s the best feeling to be a part of something truly beautiful. Just like this shoot. A dream team of ladies who come together and this magic happens. And so thrilled that Snippet & Ink thought so, too! Visit their beautiful blog to see the rest of this shoot…

So excited to have this shoot featured on 100 Layer Cake today!
A little blurb about the concept of this shoot from our good friend, stylist Ginny Branch Stelling :: “Let’s get down to brass tacks here… The groom needs a stock-the-bar party. In fact it should be a pre-requisite in wedding planning 101(and how to survive it). The poor fellas endure endless seating arrangement strategizing and awkward first dance lessons, at the very least they should be rewarded handsomely with several bottles of good scotch and bourbon. This story offers a few ways to jazz up an engagement party or even inject a little extra masculinity into the reception… gentleman’s corner, anyone? Why not serve the menfolk bespoke brew samples and send them home with a signature ale, complete with personalized label? Fill moscow mule mugs and mint julep cups with potted herbs and greenery… but have a full set gift wrapped with an accompanying bottle of liquor. Bonus points? Set up a station for wrapping cigars, preferably in a library complete with overstuffed leather chairs and at least a few wild game trophies.”

Elizabeth + Brannard got married on a pretty, sunny day at King Plow Arts Center. Flowers in lovely yellows, whites, and greens, and tons of candlelight lit up the space. Elizabeth is the sister of Amy’s good friend Anne, whose wedding you may remember seeing on our blog earlier this year! We were so excited to be a part of her big day, and just adore Anne and the rest of her family. Lovely photos by Caroline Petters, catering by Bold American, paper goods by Erica Loesing. Enjoy!
Congratulations Elizabeth + Brannard! Wishing you lots and lots of love and happiness…
Hope everyone had a lovely Labor Day weekend! As we gear up to get back into the swing of fall wedding season, we wanted to share this pretty wedding of Hayley + Chris at Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church. Hayley asked us to create her bridal party flowers using bright colors and petite little succulents. To see more photos of this wedding be sure to visit Michelle Scott Photography’s blog for many more beautiful shots of their big day. Enjoy!
Tracey + Brian’s gorgeous Georgian Terrace wedding was a true pleasure to work on from start to finish. A real labor of love. Tracey and her mom Karen quickly became friends as we coordinated for months leading up to the wedding making sure every detail was just right. With all of our powers combined we worked on everything for their wedding from invitations to flowers, and lots of little things in between. Carla Gates so beautifully captured the details, from the hair + makeup artistry of our good friend Raney O’Keefe to the invitations designed by Erica. Spring weddings have to be one of our favorites – just take a look at this color palette. Pretty sherbet tones, flowering branch. Yum! Thank you so much Tracey + Brian for letting us be a part of your big day!

Congratulations Tracey + Brian!

We have long awaited sharing Anne + Mike’s gorgeous, gorgeous wedding at the Atlanta Freight Depot. Anne is one of Amy’s dearest friends, so today’s post comes from Amy herself ::
Anne is one of my sweetest, dearest friends. I admire her for so many things: her loyalty, her love of God, and her wisdom, among many others. She is one of those people that will be in your life forever and you just know it. I simply adore her. I used to teach her ballet when she was in the 8th grade, so to be a part of her wedding was a complete honor for me. To watch her carefully wait for the man she was supposed to marry and then to meet Mr. Mike – well, it was like my own child was getting married. Mike is such a wonderful man for my sweet Anne, and I am forever grateful for their friendship. This was an absolute labor of love for Erica and I. Erica designed the fabulous invitation suite and did all the letterpress herself. Gorgeousness. This was also my first time working with the talented Tec Petaja. He truly is amazing. Just look at these images…

Congratulations Anne + Mike! We love you!

Lovely Courtney had such a gorgeous vision for her wedding day. She wanted the whole ballroom at the Cherokee Town Club to feel like a garden. Whimsical, light, and airy. One of our favorite color palettes, and always so fun to incorporate fruits and pretty, flowering branches. To see more beautiful photos from Courtney + Andy’s big day, visit David Shirk’s blog. Congratulations Courtney + Andy! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your beautiful wedding.

And we were so excited to have some of Courtney’s flowers featured in the Fall/Winter 2011 issue of Brides Atlanta!
Jen was just so sweet. We met her back in her SCAD days, and kept the friendship ever since. She had the loveliest vision for her wedding, and she was sweet enough to give us so much creative freedom. We all agree that her chuppah was one of our favorites. Congratulations Jen + Matt!!

Ohhhh Kelly + Drew. One of the sweetest couples we have had the pleasure of working with, whose love for one another rubs off on everyone around them. (You may remember seeing their adorable engagement shoot here!) From the moment we met it was a match made in heaven. Kelly was one of those dream clients who trusted us completely. For that we are always grateful. Bold chevrons, sherbet gradients (the table linens, the bridesmaids dresses, table numbers!), huge balloons … we had such a ball! Scott Chester was there to capture all of the gorgeous details, all of which were coordinated by Ashley Baber. The one and only Sun in My Belly catered. Cator Woolford Gardens was just glowing. Congratulations Kelly + Drew! We wish you all the best…

Nadia + Craig had one of the most fun weddings… ever. Carnival games, a pig roast (thanks to Avalon Catering), a Morelli’s gourmet ice cream cart, huge and awesome balloons? So awesome. They knew exactly what the feel of their wedding should be to truly represent them as a couple. And we were so excited to be a part of it, getting to use every color of the rainbow in flowers and vessels (and balloons!). Erin Stroup did an incredible job bringing all of the fun pieces together, making the day as seamless as it was colorful and fun. And we were sure glad to have Kyle Hale to capture every bit of it. And what awesome wedding could be without the Smilebooth? Congratulations Nadia + Craig! We couldn’t be happier for you. Thanks for letting us have so much fun!

Hop on over to Style Me Pretty to see the gorgeous wedding of Amy + Rick at Ventanas this summer. Thanks to Alan Friedman for capturing all of the loveliness, Sashay for coordinating the details, Sterling Cinematics for making an awesome video, and Amy + Rick for being a pure joy to work with. Mazel Tov, Y’all!
Laurie + Greg’s wedding was, in a word, magical. The Fox Theatre makes for such a dramatic setting, so I knew the flowers needed to pack some major punch! We decided to play up the Moroccan style of the theatre by using antique brass vessels mixed with lanterns and glass, which looked beautiful paired with the bright, bold flowers. I do love working with a bride who is not afraid of color! And those peonies…oh, those peonies!
Many thanks to Anna & Spencer Photography for the stunning photographs – I have to say, my jaw dropped to the floor when I first saw these photos. Like I said, magical. Hope you enjoy!
When Max at Sun in My Belly asked me to put together a creative installation for the cafe’s summer season, I jumped at the opportunity. My team and I got busy creating large paper flowers (each individually hand-painted by Erica) and fringe – lots and lots of fringe! Not only did it create a bright and happy atmosphere for the summer months, but also provided the perfect backdrop for the NotWedding “rehearsal dinner,” which was recently featured on Occasions Magazine’s blog. And today (!) on Green Wedding Shoes!
For those of you that aren’t familiar with the NotWedding, it is an awesome alternative to a bridal show, because it is just like attending a real wedding, with loads of inspiration and top-notch vendors bringing their A-game. The rehearsal dinner was a mixer and planning session for all the vendors involved, and everyone left super excited for the main event!
Over the next few months, make sure you stop by for breakfast or lunch at Sun in My Belly and check out the installation, and of course, make your plans to attend the NotWedding on July 21st. (By the way, did you check out the adorable engagement shoot??) See you there!
So excited to be a part of the Not Wedding again this year. It was such a great experience for me last time, and I am just thrilled. Lauren of Once Like a Spark asked me to do flowers for the adorable engagement shoot – all of which I picked right out of my mom’s garden! Check out the whole shoot today over on 100 Layer Cake. This is going to be a really awesome event – tickets are going fast, so be sure to buy yours soon! And food by Sun in My Belly!
Andrea & Thad are the most adorable couple, and I had soooooo much fun bringing their vision to life at one of my favorite venues. I knew as soon as we started talking about hanging floral installations, combined with the crafting genius of Ashley Meaders, that this was going to be one awesome wedding! Many thanks to Our Labor of Love for capturing all the details so beautifully, and to Bold American for providing the catering. Even the Smilebooth was there! Seriously, I am so honored to be able to work with these amazing vendors.
