We gave a sneak peak to this beautiful wedding a few weeks ago and here we are giving another teaser before we share some more photos from Juliet Elizabeth Photography . If you haven’t picked up the recent Weddings Unveiled Magazine, drop what you are doing and rush over to grab a copy. This wedding in Charleston was nothing less than magical. Emily was such a beautiful bride inside and out and happened to get married on possibly the most gorgeous fall day Charleston had this year. For those of you who cant get the magazine fast enough, take a look at these tear sheets and get excited for more to follow in the next few days.

Its not everyday we get a couple asking us to be apart of their romantic elopement with a handful of their special friends and family. It wasn’t until the day Jordan came to pick up her bouquet and some boutonnières that we finally met. One of the most kind-hearted people which was easily seen in the short minutes we shared and her love for her now husband was so inspiring.
We are so excited to share a look into this beautiful ceremony that was captured by Joanna Ballentine. And goodness we cant stop swooning over her amazing BHLDN dress. Here are a few words from Jordyn herself about their intimate day. Enjoy!
”Our wedding was in Black Mountain, North Carolina at a charming little bed and breakfast called Arbor House. We shared our vows in the backyard under a tree with 12 of our closest family and friends by our side. It turned out to be the most perfect day we could have ever imagined. It was so stress free and laid back and i feel like we really truly got to take in every single moment of the day. Our ceremony was so personal and so romantic and just absolutely everything we wanted our wedding day to be and more.” – Jordyn
We couldn’t be more thrilled to have some of our work featured in Southern Weddings Volume Six ! These dreamy images were captured by Adam Barnes and Katie Stoops and we are left wanting so many more. A blush pink gown, Coral Charm peonies, Spanish moss…what more could one ask for? Fall weddings are in full swing for the AO team. We kicked off October with 6 events in one weekend! Amy, Mary, Rebekah, and Leroy made their way up to Charleston for a gorgeous outdoor wedding. Ginny Branch (our dear friend and talented stylist) was so gracious to share her extraordinary styling for the Charleston wedding as well!
Shanna and Meredith kept the fort down in Atlanta with two events on Friday, two events on Saturday and one on Sunday. Needless to say it was a busy busy weekend in the AO studio. Craziness aside, it was a lovely weekend across the board. Multiple types of installations were made like a 10 foot long lush floral garland that hung from ceiling to the floor.
We are so eager to share the professional photos but here are some iphone pictures to pass the time. Enjoy!
Also, special thanks to some additional helpers that weekend: Chris Russell, Danielle Kane, Laura, Kel Cadet Lyons, and Ashley Buzzy!!!
Oh, Maggie + Pat. The sweetest couple. (You may remember their cute engagement shoot?) They married in Maggie’s hometown of Greenville, SC, and did so in true Southern style. A winter affair with no detail left unturned, these two just oozed love. Our goal was to create an elegant, French, sparkly, winter wonderland, complete with a champagne tower. Done and done! They even danced their first dance to Louis Armstrong’s “La Vie en Rose.” We thought it would be fun to use little metallic apples (for her new last name!) for the placecards. Always a treat to have David + Kendrick of Our Labor of Love to capture the big day, Mike Zarin keeping the dance floor packed, and lots and lots of incredible hands on deck. Thanks to everyone who made this day so special for Maggie + Pat.
Thrilled to share this wedding on 100 Layer Cake, too!

Oh boy do we have a pretty wedding to share with you today! Erin + Rich were married at the beautiful Barnsley Gardens. This wedding was an all-around win for us :: an entire family we loved working with, cute details for days, lots of creative freedom, and we even got to bring The HGTV DIY Network along to film (see videos I, II, III, IV, and V)! David + Kendrick of Our Labor of Love worked their usual magic (another wedding from them coming soon!), which is just the icing on the cake. Ashley Baber coordinated all of the many, many details, our guy Roy worked his magic with the lighting (we gave him quite the challenge, too!), and Wages Films shot the most beautiful video. This wedding was so special for us. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did! Also a HUGE shoutout to all of our helping hands that day. Could never have done it without our awesome team.
So excited to also have this wedding featured on Style Me Pretty! See the full post here. And coming soon in the new issue of The Knot Georgia! And of course the beautiful video!everyone involved :: Photography: Kendrick + David for Our Labor of Love // Cinematography: Wages Films // Floral Design:Amy Osaba // Event Design: Amy Osaba + Erica Loesing // Event Planning: Ashley Baber Weddings // Ceremony + Reception Location: Barnsley Gardens // Invitations: Miss Pickles Press // Calligraphy: Moya Minns of MM Ink // Lighting: Roy of Unique Event Management // Farm Tables: Four Inch Fold
Today is a special post :: my cousin Ali’s wedding. If you remember, we also did my cousin Leslie’s wedding last summer in Illinois! Around here it’s a family affair. We just love what we do and it’s such a blessing to be able to share our talents with the people we love. Ali + Jason got married at Variety Works in Madison, where my aunt and uncle live. It was a picture perfect day, and I was lucky enough to not only share it with my family, but also some of my favorite people :: my good friend Maria did all of the flowers! Oh my gosh, would you look at those poppies?! These are the flowers brides can sometimes only dream about. And the gorgeous cherry blossom Maria foraged right out of their backyard. Heidi was yet again the family photographer. So thankful she has almost become part of our family! This will be the third wedding photographed by Our Labor of Love, and we’re also lucky enough for Heidi to capture our sweet little Henry’s growing. Mike Zarin kept the dance floor packed, and guests dined on the always yummy food by Sun in My Belly. A true labor of love through and through, I was so happy to be a part of it. Hope you enjoy!
Shayda and Lockett were the bee’s knees to work with. So lovely with a sophisticated, laid back, cool Southern style. These two creatives (Lockett a member of the band Deerhunter you may have heard of? And Shayda a proud SCAD graphic design alum.) definitely had a certain look they were going for. Shayda’s biggest wish was to find the perfect tree to get married beneath. And then she found it here at Ford Plantation near Savannah. True Savannah style. Guests were led by musicians from the ceremony to the cocktail hour + reception overlooking the river. Tec Petaja was there to capture all of the sweet details, including of course all of the pretty flowers. As a nod to Shayda’s heritage we used lots of rich fruits, antique vessels, and touches of gold all around. As the sun set guests danced the night away by tons and tons of candlelight. We were just so thrilled to be a part of their magical evening. Thank you Shayda + Lockett for inviting us along! xoxo
It’s always such a pleasure working on shoots for Atlanta Weddings Magazine. Especially when it’s with some of our very favorite folks. This one is a love story taking place in one of the most romantic cities in Georgia. The idea is almost a peek into a couple’s destination wedding weekend in Savannah. We follow them antiquing at Alex Raskins, rickshaw riding in front of The Pink House, enjoying a cafe au lait at Paris Market, and dancing on River Street with a jazz band. Savannah is such a sleepy and sentimental town, rich with history, and the perfect backdrop for a getaway with your beloved. Photos by Jeremy Harwell, styling by Ginny Branch Styling and Designs, hair + makeup by Claudia Mejerle, floral design by Maria Taylor for Amy Osaba Event.Floral.Design, paper goods by Erica Loesing. And a big thank you to Atlanta Weddings for always inviting us along for the ride. And this pretty behind the scenes video by Whitney Tomasino ::
So excited to have this shoot featured today on 100 Layer Cake!
We were beyond excited when Vanessa chose Rylee Hitchner to photograph her wedding. As will you when you see these gorgeous images! Her use of light and composition is just so, so lovely. And then in came the talented Mrs. Ginny Branch to style all of the pretty details. The talented Mrs. Erica Loesing’s beautiful hand lettering details are my absolute favorite. Already a total match made in heaven. Vanessa and Chris were married at the beautiful Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega. It really is a special place, giving you the feeling of being lost somewhere in Europe (but somehow you’re in Georgia!). The rolling grounds, the architecture, the food (and wine!), everything. Vanessa was so sweet from the very moment we met. I love when a bride has confidence in the process that the flowers + details will speak for themselves. This always makes for the best collaborations. Thank you so much Vanessa + Chris for allowing us to be a little part of your big day. Best of luck to you and your new little family!! xoxo
We hope you have enjoyed the past four videos of Erin + Rich’s Barnsley Gardens wedding! We have one final video to share today :: see the inspiration behind how all of the lovely details came together, creating a day neither you nor your guests will ever forget. DIY elements make a wedding truly personal, and we always love to have a bride + groom involved in their big day. There is just so much to love about this wedding. Thank you so much to Erin + Rich for letting us be a part of this special wedding, and to HGTV’s DIY Network for capturing everything so beautifully (many more DIY videos on their site!). We look forward to many more collaborations in the future! Oh, and all of those gorgeous vintage pieces are all from the one and only Four Inch Fold. Enjoy!
We’re big on creating visual interest, a thoughtful experience your guests are sure to remember. Today’s HGTV’s DIY Network video features our inspirations behind creating the signature ao tablescape. Using concepts such as texture, balance, and movement, we create a series of vignettes, breaking free of the traditional “roundy moundy” central arrangement. Little vignettes, incorporating fruits and other non-floral elements … all of the little things that make a big impact!
For Erin + Rich’s sweet ceremony we created a hanging flower garden to act as a focal point for the altar area. Lots of little vintage bottles filled with a gradation of pink and sherbet-colored ranunculus made a big impact in the gorgeous old tree. Today’s HGTV’s DIY Network video features behind-the-scenes in how we created this piece. Hope you love it as much as we do. xo
Today’s HGTV’s DIY Network video features behind-the-scenes in making the swing. Oh how we love the swing. A sweet, romantic vignette your guests are sure to love, too. Enjoy!
We had the absolute pleasure of working on Erin + Rich’s gorgeous Barnsley Gardens wedding this past fall (ahh, we can’t wait to share the photos! Until then see a sneak peek on David + Kendrick’s blog here). We were thrilled to bring HGTV’s DIY Network along with us to film all of the details. This week we will be posting a series of videos showing behind the scenes of how the magic is made. Beginning today with the fabric chandelier, setting a soft and romantic mood for their pretty outdoor reception… Enjoy!
This wedding is quite a treat for us to share with you. Leslie is my cousin, so aside from the obviously gorgeous images from Heidi Geldhauser, this wedding was extra special to work on. I finally got to share the gorgeous, vast cornfields of Illinois I talk so fondly about with Amy, Meredith, Heidi, and Christian. It really was so special, and I’m thankful to have all of these awesome people I get to work with and call friends.
Leslie + Lloyd got married on Leslie’s family farm in rural Illinois in true Americana style on Fourth of July weekend. A combination of flowers shipped in (like the pretty peonies and ranunculus) mixed with local wildflowers picked on and around the farm created an effortless, yet elegant feel. Amy’s chuppah was gorgeous, located where two of the cornfields meet behind the house. Guests enjoyed the Jewish/Christian ceremony seated on haybales circling around the couple. Oh, and I should mention that my cousin Reed drove Leslie to the aisle in an antique Model T that he and my late uncle restored together. We arrived to the farm to a treasure trove of antique vessels my aunt has collected over the years, which we used for most of the reception flowers. All of the tables were covered in an assortment of her pretty vintage linens and china pieces. Tons of handmade details (a handpainted flag, papercut table numbers and matching escort cards, wood road signs…), and a big thanks to our intern Meredith for all of her help getting it all done. We battled tons of bugs and crazy heat, but in the end you would be none the wiser when seeing these gorgeous images Heidi took. The story begins with a “fun on the farm day,” complete with pig races (so cute!), a petting zoo, skeet shooting… you name it. And ends with a big grand fireworks finale. Hope you enjoy!
To piggyback on Tuesday’s gorgeous wedding, we thought you may enjoy Jeni + Justin’s colorful Rehearsal Fiesta! Yes, a fiesta! Packed with lots of bright, Mexican-inspired colors, fun and colorful vessels and random little knick knacks, Mexican paper banners (to match their adorable invitations), and all of the necessary fixin’s for a good time, Jeni + Justin started their big weekend off with a bang. If you didn’t catch their beautiful wedding you can see the whole post here.
We are overjoyed to finally be sharing Jeni + Justin’s special wedding at Hawkesdene House with you. You may have seen it featured on Martha Stewart Weddings and The Bride’s Guide over the last few months. [No one can seem to get over how cute the paint by number was!] Martha even featured Handsome the pug once again on her blog. It was just such a beautiful wedding with so many thoughtful details, held last fall in perfect autumn weather. The ceremony not only celebrated the love of Jeni and Justin but also incorporated Jeni’s daughter Emma, escorted down the aisle by Handsome the pug. Thanks to Jeannine Kennedy of Honeysuckle Wedding Company for coordinating all of the details, and beautiful photos by Alan Friedman. Stay tuned on Thursday for their Rehearsal Dinner fiesta!
Congratulations Jeni + Justin! We wish you lots of happiness and love.
Lauren + Josh were married at the gorgeous Farm at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, North Carolina. Such a treat for us to spend a weekend in such a beautiful place! There are so many pretty spots on the property, it is the perfect wedding getaway. Lauren had a beautiful vision of flowers in pretty neutrals :: whites, pale yellows, and greens, with a woodsy, romantic look and feel. And the rain let up at all the perfect moments to allow the perfect weather day. Thank you to Tina Rowden Photographers for these beautiful images and Elizabeth Fletcher of I Do Events for doing such a fantastic job bringing everything together. Wishing you lots and lots of happiness Lauren + Josh!
Anne + Thomas had a lovely, lovely wedding in Anne’s quaint hometown of Tifton, Georgia. The ceremony took place at the First United Methodist Church of Tifton, the reception in her parents pretty backyard, backing right up to a lake. Anne’s dad is a big collector of antique cars, so not only did they have their pick of getaway cars but we got the coolest workspace ever! And would you take a look at that cake by Sharon of Sweet Sensations – sugar flowers galore! So beautiful, and to match all of Anne’s favorite flowers we used in the decor. The lovely day was all tied together by Caroline Carter Events and photographed by David Christensen Photography. Hair and makeup by our good friend, the one and only Raney O’Keefe. Guests danced the night away to the sounds of Super T! (the same band who serenaded the wedding of Jenna Bush!). Catering by Epting Events, rentals by Beachview Tent Rentals and Ooh! Events. Thank you Anne + Patti for letting us be a part of this special wedding! It was truly a pleasure getting to know you both!!
Congratulations Anne + Thomas!!!
Thought it would be nice to start the weekend off with an extra dose of pretty [long overdo!]. Maggie + Greg (the couple behind the yummy Westside Creamery!) got married at the gorgeous Fairweather Farms in Monroe, Georgia. Maggie had such a lovely vision for her wedding from the start, and was very involved in the process (she designed her invitations and lots of other fun paper details!). We got to do more than real flowers for her wedding – we made lots and lots of large paper flowers to install crawling up the ceremony tree. Then of course lots of other pretty, real flowers all around. Heidi captured every detail beautifully, and Danielle of Simply Charming Socials coordinated it all together. This was one of those weddings where you want to do it over and over again – not only because you love the couple, but because you love all of the other vendors involved. Hair and makeup by the one and only Raney O’Keefe, catering by 5 & 10, furniture rentals from Four Inch Fold, The Packway Handle Band serenading the night away.
And did we mention that this wedding is featured in the current Martha Stewart Weddings? To say we were excited is a huuuuuge understatement! (see below to view the article) Thank you so much Maggie + Greg for letting us be a part of your big day!
Congratulations Maggie + Greg! Be sure to pick up the current Martha Stewart Weddings to see them in print!
We are so excited to finally share Casey + Paul’s gorgeous wedding at the Stables at Lake Martin. We couldn’t have been more thrilled with every little detail of this wedding, all captured by the amazing Simply Bloom. We’re always so excited to work with them, obviously! These images are just stunning.
The Stables at Russell Crossroads are the most beautiful horse stables you’ve ever laid eyes on. So gorgeous. Exposed wood all around, world class horses, and a major attention to detail down to every last window latch. On this night in particular it looked simply magical :: a mix of rustic and elegant, a touch of glitter, and sparkling candlelight all around. We created a fabric chandelier to hang in the center of the space that glowed as everyone danced and enjoyed the evening. Casey’s dad made all of the farm tables by hand using wood from her grandfather’s barn.
A special thanks to Ms. Linda, who was so kind, helpful, and forgiving. She let us work through the night hanging all 750 feet (!!) of muslin fringe down the length of the stables (and getting lots of threads all over the floor). And kept us laughing as we then took it all back down again. Also a huge thanks to all of our helping hands who made all of that fringe possible! Don’t know what we would have done without all of you! Lastly, a special thanks to the Stelling family for letting us make a weekend out of it staying at their lake house. AND Ginny for coming along to help us out. Wow, we’re pretty lucky.
Now for the gorgeous images! Beginning with a sweet painting (one in a series) Paul created to propose to his love ::Congratulations Casey + Paul! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your beautiful day!
We’re so excited to have this wedding featured on 100 Layer Cake! Head on over to check out more of their wedding.

We had the pleasure of working with Erin and her mom Lisa for months brainstorming the perfect combination of all things pretty and vintage for her wedding. Barnsley Gardens looked as it never had before :: so many cute vintage pieces from Lisa’s shop, bright and colorful flowers all around, oodles of heirloom pumpkins, and a stunning bride. We love every opportunity to work with all different colors and textures of flowers. A-Town A-List kept all of the guests on the dance floor until the very end of the night. Thank you to Leslie Walker for the gorgeous images (see more photos here and here on her blog!). Thank you Erin + Lisa for being such a pleasure. Congratulations Erin + Danny! And check out the full feature on Style Me Pretty!
Brittany + William had a lovely wedding at the beautiful Foxhall Resort. The perfect kind of day – clear skies and the perfect temperature to be outside around the fire. We constructed an arch to frame the stunning view of acres upon acres of manicured lawns. Really, the resort is just so beautiful. We designed her bouquet to lie on top of a family Bible that had been used by generations of brides in Brittany’s family. Both Brittany and her mother were so sweet to work with, and we couldn’t be happier to have been a part of their big day. We have actually had the pleasure of working with the talented Brittany before. She is a photographer with 6 of Four, who also captured all of these lovely images below. And with Sun in My Belly catering, we’re left with such fond memories of their special day. Congratulations Brittany + Will!
Caroline + Tyler had a gorgeous wedding at Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega. There were so many sweet, southern details :: peaches, milkglass, natural wood, gorgeous flowers, lots of handmade pieces, and a super sweet couple to boot. Lovely photos by Heidi Geldhauser [as always]. Enjoy!

This was by far a highlight for us last year. To get to work with the one and only Jose Villa was an absolute pleasure we had long been awaiting. Not only is he incredibly talented but also so incredibly humble and kind. We had a lovely weekend at the beautiful Serenbe, packed to the brim with gorgeous details and lovely ladies. Joy + Emily did a fabulous job bringing this shoot to life, right down to the very smallest details.
Thank you Jose for the breathtaking images, to Joy + Emily for inviting us to be a part of this workshop, to Ginny Branch for her positive attitude and helping hands. This was also where we first met Meagan, who later designed our website!
First up :: summer countryside :: Love this! Joy envisioned this arch that Ginny and Erica spent days creating. Despite the heat and crazy bugs (gross!), this beautiful piece became a permanent Serenbe fixture. white and deep indigo wedding (at Dunaway Gardens – beautiful!) :: (This may look familiar from the current cover of Southern Weddings Magazine!) Check out even more images from this weekend on Once Wed here, here, and here! Click here to read more about the Once Wed Workshop for Wedding Photographers. And of course pick up V4 of Southern Weddings Magazine!
So excited to share this wedding with you. *Seriously* a gorgeous wedding, chock full of cute details. Thanks to all of the beautiful images from Gina Zeidler, it was nearly impossible to pare them down to include only what you see below! And if you haven’t already, go pick up your copy of the current Southern Weddings Magazine to see lots, lots more.
When Camille asked us to be a part of her wedding I was so touched. I mean, she is an incredible photographer (see more of her gorgeous work here). She is so sweet and was also kind enough to photograph my son’s birthday party last year. From the moment she started to describe her vision and inspiration, we just knew. We always love the opportunity to use all of these fun colors of flowers! And not only did we do the flowers, but Erica designed and handmade the most amazing invitations you have ever seen… and not to mention the yard games signs, placecards, cutout cake sign… Yes, she is extremely talented!
Every little detail. Just gorgeous! Surrounded by only a handful of their closest family, Camille + Mark had a beautiful, intimate wedding at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, North Carolina (they even had the farm table made to just the right size to perfectly fit their family).
Hope you enjoy!
Congratulations Camille + Mark! We wish you lots of happy moments to come…
A big shout out to the lovely Ginny Branch for all of her help with this wedding. We’re some lucky gals to not only share a studio space with her but also to call her a friend.
And again, be sure to check out the latest Southern Weddings Magazine! (Or visit our press page here.) Camille + Mark have also been featured on the Southern Weddings blog :: Part I, Part II, and how to Get the Look!

Julie + Andy wanted the design of their wedding to be both rustic and elegant, just like their gorgeous venue, the Ritz Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation. It was a beautiful day, and the chuppah we created for the ceremony is one of my favorites to date. Many thanks to Adam of W. Scott Chester Photography for capturing the beauty of this wedding in such a special way.
Congrats Julie + Andy!
