Let us count the ways that we love Sun in My Belly.  We love the people, their presentation is perfection, and of course their food is absolutely delicious.  Anytime we do an event together (which is pretty often) we know we’ll be happily fed.  Whether you’re looking for the perfect folks to cater your event, or just a whole-hearted restaurant recommendation, Sun in My Belly should be your first stop.  We first met at The Not Wedding in 2009.  You may remember some of these images, which still to this day are brought to us by brides as inspiration ::

…and again for the Not Wedding last year ::

If you’ve visited their charming cafe in Kirkwood, you may have noticed the past two seasons of decor we have designed and installed ::

And lots and lots of gorgeous weddings (seriously, lots.  These are only a few.)!

Lullwater (we love this photo, by Heidi Geldhauser) ::

and a shoot for Design*Sponge (also with Heidi!)::

OnceWed Photographer’s Workshop with Jose Villa ::

our Indian Summer workshop at The Goat Farm ::

…and so much more!  Cheers to Sun in My Belly!  We whole-heartedly love and adore them, and hope you get to experience them for yourselves.

(oh, and we’re so excited to soon share CAMP with you, a fun little collaboration we are just beginning…)

So thrilled that Amy is featured on Oh Joy’s Closet & Casa column today!  We just love this column + blog.  Click here to see the whole post!  Thanks for the feature Bri!  Our studio is open to you anytime.  Also a huge thanks to Raney for being so sweet to come do hair + makeup, and to Heidi for taking these incredible photos, as always! If you didn’t see images from the Blogshop in our studio, you have to check them out!

This was by far a highlight for us last year.  To get to work with the one and only Jose Villa was an absolute pleasure we had long been awaiting.  Not only is he incredibly talented but also so incredibly humble and kind.  We had a lovely weekend at the beautiful Serenbe, packed to the brim with gorgeous details and lovely ladies.  Joy + Emily did a fabulous job bringing this shoot to life, right down to the very smallest details.

Thank you Jose for the breathtaking images, to Joy + Emily for inviting us to be a part of this workshop, to Ginny Branch for her positive attitude and helping hands.  This was also where we first met Meagan, who later designed our website!

Enjoy!

First up :: summer countryside :: Love this!  Joy envisioned this arch that Ginny and Erica spent days creating.  Despite the heat and crazy bugs (gross!), this beautiful piece became a permanent Serenbe fixture. white and deep indigo wedding (at Dunaway Gardens – beautiful!) :: (This may look familiar from the current cover of Southern Weddings Magazine!) Check out even more images from this weekend on Once Wed here, here, and here!  Click here to read more about the Once Wed Workshop for Wedding Photographers.  And of course pick up V4 of Southern Weddings Magazine!

Welcome!

17Jan

Happy New Year y’all!  We are overwhelmingly excited to welcome you to our new website and blog!  This past year was filled to the brim with pinch-me moments and an overall sense of newness and adventure.

We embarked on a new chapter by moving into a new studio space at the Goat Farm, our little rustic-industrial slice of heaven hidden in West Midtown. Yes, there are goats (and chickens, and roosters, and a big fat turkey).  And yes there is a farm!  And we’re pretty lucky gals to share the space with stylist-extraordinaire Ginny Branch.  And obviously we got a new [digital] space as well – welcome!

We hosted our inaugural flower workshop (see more of the photos here!) and spent the day with an incredible group of women, a collection of new faces and familiar favorites.  (Stay tuned – we are in the planning phases and will be announcing our next workshop soon!)

We worked on some, quite frankly, gorgeous weddings, and made so many new friends along the way.  We are so lucky to work with brides with some impeccable visions.  Take a look through our galleries to see some of our favorites, and we promise there are lots of blog posts to come!

We celebrated checking off a big item on our bucket list… and were humbled by the opportunity.

We collaborated with terrifically talented folks in our industry.  Visit our new links page to take a look at some of the people we truly love.

We laughed at our hiccups along the way.  We took risks and lived to tell the tales (which we will definitely share over coffee and something sweet).

We owe a huge, huge thank you to the lovely Meagan Gibson, who worked tirelessly with us to create our new home here on the interweb. Thank you for giving us what we have been waiting for for ohhh so long.  And even our logo got a little facelift!

2011 was a very good year and we are already high-fiving each other with what is in store for 2012… Check back in with us, we will be sharing some of our favorite weddings from 2011 (seriously, there are a lot)!  Until then, we hope you like the new site!  And we hope to cross paths with you in 2012.

Sometimes it’s hard to believe we’ve been doing this for so many years! Have you been following the blog for a while? Or if you’re new to the blog, welcome! We’ve pulled together some images to give you a fresh look on what we have been up to. Or please feel free to explore our archives for full features on all of the images below. Here’s a peek into who we are…

Amy Osaba event.floral.design was launched in 2002 and quickly became recognized as one of the leading event design firms in the Southeast.

Amy’s theatrical background has undoubtedly influenced her signature style, intuitively using a variety of textures and co-mingling fruits, vegetables, antique vessels and textiles to create unique and yet timeless works of art.

While our emphasis is on designing lush, free, handpicked florals, we are a full event design studio and delight in bringing our client’s entire vision to life. From designing your entire invitation suite, to selecting the perfect linens to creating the right atmosphere through lighting, no detail is forgotten. In fact, our entire team has extensive experience planning, designing, and executing events from start to finish.

Our work has been featured in print in The Atlantan Brides, Atlanta Weddings, Southern Weddings, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, and Occasions, as well as online at 100 Layer Cake, Green Wedding Shoes, Once Wed, Weddings Unveiled, and Style Me Pretty, just to name a few. What means the most, however, are the sweet words of thanks we get from our clients:

“Thank you for making my daughter’s wedding special, beautiful, and most memorable. You are true professionals.”

“From day one, you have always been so excited for my big day, which seems crazy considering how many brides you work with throughout the year. Thank you for always making me feel special. You are the best!!”

“I am so glad that I left everything in your hands because I could never have made anything so beautiful. There are truly no words to describe how I felt when I saw everything…all I can say is thank you.”

Plain and simple: we love what we do! There are also some really exciting things coming up which you’ll hear all about in upcoming posts. We look forward to crossing paths with you…
